Conquer Your Stress (Pt 2 of 2)

Last week I introduced you to two ways in which you can conquer the negative side of stress once and for all. To continue on our path to make you a conquistador of chronic stress, let me give you the final remaining steps. Here we go!

Number three: Don't be a blowhard!
You are NOT unique. You are not the only one to experience stress, difficulty, frustration and painful experiences. What happens to you happens to ALL of us. There is no conspiracy against only you. You are not God's little guinea pig or the laboratory rat of the universe.

We ALL experience hurt, disappointment, heartache, loss, failure, sadness, misfortune, setback, defeat, distress, despondency, despair or whatever else is causing you stress. Whatever you feel so uniquely victimized by, millions of other people have also experienced it, and likely much worse.

Chronic stress is linked to the six leading causes of death: heart disease, cancer, lung ailments, accidents, cirrhosis of the liver and suicide. And more than 75 percent of all physician office visits are for stress-related ailments and complaints.

Just in case death doesn’t get your attention, stress also makes you fat, old and stupid.

Chronic stress affects your brain, suppresses your thyroid, causes blood sugar imbalances, decreases bone density and muscle tissue, raises blood pressure, reduces your immunity and ability to heal, and increases fat deposits around your abdomen.

So essentially, you’ll want to pay attention to this BLOG or you might die, or at the least live miserably—fat, dumb and ugly. ;)
